Congee ist eine langgekochte Reissuppe, die besonders nährend, bekömmlich und leicht verdaulich ist. Je länger die Suppe gekocht wird, umso mehr Qi enthält sie. Es stärkt den Körper, befeuchtet Trockenheit und wirkt entgiftend sowie entschlackend auf den Darm.
In der 5-Elemente-Küche gehört Reis zum Metall-Element, das Lunge und Dickdarm zugeordnet ist. Durch langes Kochen wird er leicht verdaulich und entlastet den Magen-Darm-Trakt, wodurch überschüssige Feuchtigkeit entfernt und die Lunge gestärkt wird. Schleimprobleme in Nase und Lunge werden ebenfalls gelindert.
Reis-Congee reinigt den Darm, reguliert die Verdauung und fördert die Bildung von Qi und Blut, was den Körper ganzheitlich ausgleicht. Solltest du Hautbeschwerden haben, dann liest du sicherlich gerne, dass Reis einen stark reinigenden Effekt auf deine Haut hat.

Gericht Frühstück

Zutaten
  

  • 1 Tasse Reis
  • 6-8 Tassen Wasser
  • 1 Prise Salz

Winterliche Variante

  • 1 Prise Zimt
  • 1 Prise Sternanis
  • 1-2 Datteln in Stückchen geschnitten
  • 1 El Hanfsamen
  • 1 TL Butter

Anleitungen
 

  • Den Reis in einem Topf kurz trocken anrösten.
  • Mit dem Wasser aufgießen und mindestens 2-3 Stunden auf kleiner Flamme köcheln lassen. Gerne auch länger köcheln lassen.
  • Immer wieder mal umrühren, damit das Congee nicht anbrennt.
  • Das Congee heiß in saubere Gläser einfüllen und entweder in den Kühlschrank stellen oder im Winter ins Freie.
  • Für das winterliches Congee werden die Gewürze über das Congee gestreut und kurz erwärmt.
  • Man kann das Reiscongee natürlich auch pikant mit Gemüse essen.
